Six Easy Pieces

Blogathon Workspace, 6 AM

Good Morning Vancouver! Hello World!

Wow, feeling all excited! The big day is here.  Reminds me of the 24 TV series. I loved the series, at least the early seasons that had the cool headed President Palmer.

So, anyway, here I’m at Workspace with a number of fellow Vancouver bloggers – more on that in the next post.

On my way to Workspace, I was thinking about how to break down the 48 (+1 final post at 6 AM tomorrow) posts throughout the 24 hours while trying to keep my sanity and to try and keep it interesting, Richard Feynman’s “Six Easy Pieces” – the essentials of physics explained in simple terms by one of the greatest physics teachers of the century, came to my mind.

So, with that in mind, I’m going to try and break this blogathon into six series with 8 posts in each piece, give or take a couple.

The first series would be warming up posts, ice-breakers etc where I try to make sense of all this.

The second series would be about some general topics pertaining to business analysis, communication etc.

In the third series, I’ll attempt to get into the details of my CBAP® certification preparation, what it means to me to get certified, what it takes etc.

The fourth series will focus on challenges with hearing loss – for I’m representing the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association in this blogathon. I’ll attempt to explore the challenges and coping mechanisms from the perspective of a hard of hearing professional. When I informed some members of the hard of hearing community that I was doing this blogathon, there was tremendous interest from members from Canadian Hard of Hearing Association as well as from our friends across the border – Hearing Loss Association of America. There will be a few feature articles, guest posts from a couple of HLAA members as well as interviews.

In the fifth series during which time there will be some entertainment here at Workspace, courtesy of Mojave band and Rachel Chatoor, there will be some miscellaneous posts on some general topics.

In the sixth and the final series, I’ll get down to the details of some Business Analysis Competency areas as I try to make sense of topics such as use cases, brainstorming, user stories, UML notations and so on, while trying not to fall asleep.

And so it begins..!
